Review of Léna Mill-Reuillard’s exhibition Airer, curated by Florence-Agathe Dubé-Moreau at DRAC Art actuel (Drummondville) in summer 2023.

The exhibition Airer at DRAC Art actuel consisted of Léna Mill-Reuillard’s video installation shot at dusk during a residency at the Grantham Foundation. Projected on six big size screens, the installation transposes the spatial organization of the foundation’s building situated near Drummondville.

To capture the space, Mill-Reuillard placed a camera inside each of the build- ing’s six windows. Each camera simultaneously filmed her activity and recorded the ambient sound. We watch her moving through the building, from one room
to the next, strolling on walkways from inside to outside and back again. We witness her moments of stopping and contemplating, and her gestures of apprehending the space.
